3. Loosen the bolts (1) on both sides of the stowage compartment closeout panel rod until the center panel moves freely.
4. Do the following from inside the vehicle, using the folding top switch.
1. Hold the storage compartment center panel fully forward.
2. Using the switch start the cycle the folding top slowly, ensure that the outer closeout panels extend but Do Not come in contact with the side
rail links.
3. Allow the folding top to retract into the rear compartment, stop the cycle just after the rear compartment lid starts to close approximately three
inches from the reverse open position.
4. Manually move the center panel to the horizontal position.
Important: The front closeout panel may settle to a lower height once the bolts are tightened. It may be necessary to start at a higher
dimension and adjust to accommodate for settling
5. Manually position the underside of the front closeout panel (a) to 73-78 mm (2.9-3.1 in) from the outer surface of the stowed roof panel.
6. Tighten the drive side bolt first and then the right side, otherwise the adjustment will not be set correctly.
7. Carefully cycle the folding top.
1. After the folding top has closed, ensure that the center closeout panel is fully seated in the rear roof brackets.
2. Open the folding top.
3. Allow the folding top to retract into the rear compartment, stop the cycle just after the rear compartment lid starts to close approximately three
inches from the reverse open position.
4. Ensure that the front closeout panel height has not changed from (a) to 73-78 mm (2.9-3.1 in), if the measurement have changed redo step#3.
8. Install the right and left lock pillar upper garnish molding. Refer to Lock Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Convertible) (See: Interior
Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair).
9. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation (See: Description and Operation/Power
Folding Top Description and Operation).
