Radiator Replacement (LY7)

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the coolant. Refer to  Draining and Filling Cooling System (LY7, LZ4, LZ9 Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716

Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (LE5 Static Fill) .

2. Loop a rope around each of the upper 2 tabs of the condenser and tie the rope around the upper tie bar.
3. Remove the upper radiator support brackets.

4. Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp at the radiator using the pliers  J 38185 .
5. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
6. Remove the front air dam.
