8. Remove the protective covering from the rear compartment interior and the adjacent body panels.

9. Tighten the hydraulic pump bypass valve (1). Refer to Folding Top Pump Bypass Valve Pressure Release Adjustment   (See: Convertible Top

Pump/Adjustments).

10. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection   (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Service

and Repair).

11. Inspect the hydraulic system for leaks and fluid level. Refer to Folding Top Fluid Addition   (See: Convertible Top Hydraulic Fluid/Service and

Repair).

12. Install the side compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Coupe/Sedan)   (See: Interior Moulding /

Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Convertible)   (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim
Panel/Service and Repair).

13. Close the rear compartment.
14. Inspect the folding top for proper operation.
