Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

Exhaust Pipe Replacement (LZ9 w/RPO MT2) (3.9L)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the muffler. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LE5 With MH8)   (See: Muffler/Service and Repair)Exhaust Muffler Replacement

(2.4L, 3.5L, and 3.9L)   (See: Muffler/Service and Repair)Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LY7, LZ9)   (See: Muffler/Service and Repair).

2. Remove the exhaust pipe to right catalytic converter nuts.
3. Remove the exhaust pipe from the right catalytic converter.
4. Remove and discard the exhaust pipe gasket.

Installation Procedure

1. Install a NEW exhaust pipe gasket.
2. Install the exhaust pipe to the right catalytic converter.
