Important: Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.
1. Connect the upper heater hose (1) to the heater hose quick connect fitting (2).
Caution: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Installing Hoses
without Twists or Bends Notice) .
Important: If reusing the heater hoses (3), align the heater hoses (3) with the marks made on the heater core pipes (2) during the removal
procedure.
2. Connect the heater hoses (3) to the heater core pipes (2).
3. Using J 38185 slide the heater hose retaining clamps (1) back into the original position on the heater hoses (3).
4. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (See: Service and Repair) .
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Cover
Replacement) .
Removal Procedure - Lower

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Cover

2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (See: Service and Repair) .
