Parking Brake Actuator Replacement
Removal Procedure
Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the
vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed
and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the rear wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).
3. Remove the rear brake caliper and brake disc. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (See: Disc Brake System/Brake Rotor/Disc/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Brake Rotor Replacement).
4. Remove the rear wheel hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (See: Maintenance/Wheels and
Tires/Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension).
5. Rotate the park brake adjusting nut until all park brake shoe adjustment has been removed.
6. Remove the park brake shoe retaining spring (1).
