Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation
1. Disconnect pressure and return lines from power steering pump. Allow fluid to drain into a suitable container.
2. Loosen adjusting stud, then remove outer bracket.
3. Remove drive belt from pump pulley and position aside.
4. Remove bracket to pump bolts, Fig. 18.
5. Remove pump and bracket assembly from vehicle. Separate pump from bracket as necessary.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
