Balance Shaft: Service and Repair
Balance Shaft - Overhaul
DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the oil pump pick-up screen. Pry it out with a suitable tool.
2. Loosen all of the housing bolts.
3. Separate the balance shaft housings.
4. Remove the balance shaft and gear subassemblies from the housing.
5. Carefully remove the bearing halves from the housing. Do not scratch or gouge the housing.
