Remove the right insulator panel.

27.

Remove the body control module (BCM).

28.

Install a new BCM.

29.

Re-install the right insulator panel.

30.

Re-install the trim panel supports and trim panel to the rear shelf.

31.

Re-install the trim panel push pin retainers.

32.

Re-install the "B" and "C" pillar trim.

33.

Re-install the rear seat side bolsters/back rest assembly.

34.

Re-install the seatback/side bolster retainers. 

Tighten

Tighten the retainers to 12 Nm (106 lb in)

35.

Re-install the rear seat cushion into the vehicle and properly secure it into place.

36.

Re-install the carpet retainers in the front and rear door areas

37.

Re-install the left side sound insulator panel.

38.

Proceed to Vehicle Configuration, in this bulletin.

Repair Procedure # 2 - Oldsmobile Alero 4-door vehicles with Monsoon audio system and all Pontiac Grand Am 4-door vehicles

1.

Open the hood, install fender covers and disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.

Install seat covers.
