Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Front.
Caution: These fasteners MUST be replaced with new fasteners anytime they become loose or are removed. Failure to replace these
fasteners after they become loose or are removed may cause loss of vehicle control and personal injury.
2. Remove the caliper bracket-to-knuckle bolts (2).
3. Remove the caliper bracket (1).
4. Remove the boots and the caliper pins from the bracket (1).
5. Inspect the bracket for cracks.
Replace the bracket if necessary.
Installation Procedure
1. Lubricate the caliper pins with GM P/N 18010908 silicone grease or equivalent.
2. Lubricate the caliper pins boots with GM P/N 18010908 silicone grease or equivalent.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the caliper bracket (1) with the new bracket bolts (2).

Tighten the bracket bolts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
