Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair
With Disc Brakes

Removal Procedure 

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. 
3. Remove the following components:

The lateral links to knuckle nut (5)

-

The lateral links to knuckle bolt (1)

-

The lateral links to knuckle washer (4)

4. Remove the brake rotor.
5. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake lever.
6. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor harness.
7. Remove the wheel hub assembly.

8. Remove the following components:

-

The trailing arm (5) to knuckle bolt (2)

-

The trailing arm (5) to knuckle washer (2)

-

The trailing arm (5) to knuckle bushing (4)

9. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement.
