Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1.

disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Raise and support vehicle, then drain crankcase.

3.

Remove lower splash shield and flap.

4.

Remove crankshaft pulley and crankshaft sensor cover.

5.

Disconnect A/C compressor electrical connector and hose support from suspension support.

6.

Remove A/C compressor from mounting bracket and position aside with refrigerant hoses attached.

7.

Remove right hand suspension support front bolts.

8.

Loosen all suspension support attaching bolts so that support will drop approximately 1.5 inches at front.

9.

Remove oil lever sensor from oil pan.

10.

Remove flywheel housing cover.

11.

Remove oil pan attaching bolts and oil pan. Move A/C refrigerant line as necessary to obtain clearance for oil pan removal.

12.

Reverse procedure to install.
