WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID LOSS AND/OR WASHER PUMP INOPERATIVE (INSTALL WASHER HOSE ASSEMBLY)

This bulletin revises the previous Correction and Warranty Information (previous artwork has been eliminated, not replaced). Previous divisional
publication numbers were:
Buick
93-8-8
Chevrolet
93-67-8E
GM of Canada
93-8B-101
Oldsmobile

Pontiac
93-8-7
Condition:
Some owners may experience windshield washer fluid loss and/or washer pump inoperative.
Cause:
Windshield washer pump outlet elbow may become disconnected from the windshield washer hose.
Correction:
1.
Raise vehicle and suitably support.
2.
Remove left front wheel as outlined in the appropriate Service Manual.
3.
Remove inner fender splash shield to access washer pump.
4.
Remove washer hose assembly and install new washer hose, P/N 5049529.
5.
Install inner fender splash shield.
6.
Install left front wheel as outlined in the appropriate Service Manual.
Parts are expected to be available on November 8, 1993.
