Install or Connect (Figure 2, after modification:)
1.
Position inner hood support (5) to hood (1).
2.
Hood strut support bracket (4).
3.
Bolts (3).

Tighten bolts (3) to 10 N-m (84 in.lbs.)
4.
Hood open assist rods (2) to hood strut support brackets (4).
5.
Drill hole through inner hood supports into hood inner reinforcement, using a 4.7 mm (3/16") drill bit with a 13 mm (1/2" drill stop.
6.
Apply primer to holes drilled, using zinc chromate primer or equivalent.
7.
Rivets (6) to secure the inner hood supports to the hood inner reinforcement.
