Some of the above vehicles have been reported as having water leaking from the HVAC module. This water leak is coming from the lower front side of
the module, as shown in Figure 1.

This water leak causes the front carpet to be wet and the resultant musty odor that is being mistakenly diagnosed as A/C odor.

This water leak condition may be addressed by either one of the following service parts and procedures.

Procedure:

1.

Raise vehicle and remove the A/C module rubber drain tube and lower the vehicle.

2.

Remove the close out panels (hush panels).
