1989 GRAND PRIX TURBO MODELS
Some 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo vehicles equipped with the head-up display (HUD) option may exhibit an unusually long bulb test for the low fuel
indicator in the HUD display image, with the indicator flickering before finally going out. This symptom can best be described as follows:
Low fuel indicator remains on for 60 to 90 seconds and flickers for 5 to 10 seconds before going off
Follow the functional test chart on page 9M-3 of the 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo Service Manual Supplement to be certain no other symptoms are
present. If the only symptom is related to the low fuel indicator as described above, remove the instrument cluster for repair by the most convenient AC
Delco Exchange Center.
