Condition
Some owners may comment that significant effort is required to open and/or close the deck (trunk) lid. Also, some may comment that the deck lid doesn't
"pop up" or lift very high when the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) button is depressed on the key ring transmitter.
Correction
Important:
The new hinges and supports listed below will only allow the deck lid to "pop up" or lift approximately one inch when the RKE transmitter button is
depressed. The amount of "pop up" may vary with temperature.

Install new design left and right deck lid hinges and new matching supports following the procedures in Section 10-8 of the Service Manual. The new
hinges will need to be painted to match the vehicle's exterior color.
Important:
The new hinges listed have revised pivot points and support attaching locations. The new supports listed are of a different length and internal
pressure than the original supports. As a result, the new supports listed can only be used with the new hinges listed. See the Service Parts Catalog for
additional information on parts identification and usage.
