(Remove Material from Sound Insulator)
Models:
1997-99 Pontiac Grand Prix (Coupe)

1.
Raise the vehicle.
2.
Remove the tire and wheel.
3.
Remove the rear portion of splash shield.
4.
Insert screwdriver between the insulator and the fender bracket. Pry rearward to remove retaining clip and remove the insulator.
5.
Remove approximately 25 mm (1 in.) from the corner of the insulator, right where the insulator attaches to the center fender attachment.
(LH side of vehicle remove lower left corner.
RH side of vehicle remove lower right corner.)
6.
Adjust fender at this time if necessary.
7.
Reinstall sound insulator and retaining clip.
