The Body Control Module (BCM) turns on the fasten belts indicator for 70 (+/- 7) seconds when these conditions are met:
^
The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
^
The driver's seat belt is unfastened (ground signal in circuit 238).
If the driver's seat belt is fastened during the 70 second period, the BCM turns off the fasten belts indicator. The BCM turns on the fasten belts indicator
for 70 (+/- 7) seconds (repeating this sequence) if the driver's seat belt is unfastened during the same ignition cycle.
Fasten Seat Belt Reminder
The Body Control Module (BCM) sounds the fasten seat belt reminder ON for 6 (+/ 0.6) seconds when these conditions are met:
^
The ignition switch is turned from the OFF to the RUN position.
^
The driver's seat belt is unfastened (ground signal in circuit 238).
If the driver's seat belt is fastened, then unfastened within 6 second chime period, the BCM stops the chime while the driver's seat belt is fastened. The
BCM resumes the chime for reminder of 6 second period if the driver's seat belt is unfastened.
Headlamps on Reminder
The Body Control Module (BCM) sounds the headlamps on reminder when these conditions are met:
^
The driver's door is open (ground signal in circuit 159).
^
The headlamp switch is in either PARK or HEAD position (open in circuit 1872).
^
The key is removed from the ignition switch (open in circuit 80).
Key In Ignition Reminder
The Body Control Module (BCM) sounds the key in ignition reminder when these conditions are met:
^
The driver's door is open (ground signal in circuit 159).
^
The key is fully inserted in the ignition cylinder (ground signal in circuit 80).
^
The ignition switch in the OFF or UNLOCK position.

Trip Calculator Reminder
The Body Control Module (BCM) sounds the trip calculator reminder when receiving a ground signal from the trip calculator in circuit 653. The chime
sounds once per trip calculator warning message.
Turn Signal on Reminder
The Body Control Module (BCM) sounds the turn signal reminder once per each flash of turn signal lights when these conditions are met:
^
The ignition switch in the RUN position.
^
The turn signal switch is in either the left or the right turn position (sensing, within 1 second, an open to B+ transition in either circuit 14 or 15).
^
The vehicle has traveled a distance of 1.2 km (3/4 mile) by counting pulses on the vehicle speed input circuit 389.
The BCM keeps active the turn signal reminder until one of these conditions is met:
^
The ignition switch is turned to the UNLOCK or OFF position.
^
The turn signal switch returns to the off position (sensing, within 1 second, no transitions from open to B+ in either circuit 14 or 15).
