Grand Prix V6-191 3.1L VIN M SFI (1998)
2. Remove the caps from the in-pipe fuel filter pipe, the fuel feed pipe, and the fuel return pipe.
3. Install the fuel return pipe quick-connect fitting in front of the fuel tank. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar).
4. Install the fuel feed pipe threaded fitting at the outlet of the in pipe fuel filter.
TIGHTEN

In-pipe fuel filter fitting to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the fuel feed, and fuel return pipe quick-connect fittings in the engine compartment. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal
Collar).
7. Add fuel and install the fuel tank filler pipe cap.
8. Tighten the fuel tank filler pipe cap.
9. Install the negative battery cable.
10. Inspect and make sure all of the fuel pipe bundle clips, and fasteners are properly installed.
11. Inspect for leaks.
a. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position for two seconds.
b. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF for ten seconds.
c. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position again.
d. Visually inspect the fuel system for fuel leaks.
