10. Remove the fuel filler pipe.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
1. Install the fuel filler pipe.
2. Install the fuel filler pipe attaching screws (3) to the fuel filler pipe access panel.
TIGHTEN
-
Fuel filler pipe attaching screws to 10 Nm (8 lb ft).
3. Install the fuel filler pipe attaching screw (1) to the under body.
TIGHTEN
-
Fuel filler pipe attaching screw to 10 Nm (8 lb ft).
4. Connect the vapor recirculation line at the fuel filler pipe.
5. Install the fuel filler hose.
6. Install the fuel filler hose clamp at the fuel tank.
7. Install the fuel filler hose clamp at the fuel filler pipe.
8. Inspect and make sure filler hose (4) is fully seated on fuel tank port, and fuel filler pipe (2).
9. Make sure clamp (1) is properly located on tank port between the feed (5) and tank (3).
TIGHTEN
-
Fuel tank filler hose clamps to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).
10. Inspect for leaks.
11. Lower the vehicle.
a. Inspect turn the ignition switch to the ON position for two seconds.
b. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position for ten seconds.
c. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position again.
d. Visually inspect the fuel system for fuel leaks.
