CONDITION:
Some customers may comment about difficulty opening the front door on 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 Grand Prix Sedans
when using inside handles.
To check this condition sit inside the vehicle and lock the door. Actuate the affected inside door handle, unlock the door
and try to exit the vehicle. This may have to be done three or four times for the condition to occur. If the door will not open
follow the procedure below. The above condition may be reset by activating the outside door handle.

CAUSE:
Interference between the outside handle to lock rod and lever on the outside handle. See Figure 1.
CORRECTION:
1.
Remove trim panel.
2.
Remove water deflector.
3.
Disengage retaining clip at lower end of the outside handle to lock rod and remove rod.
4.
Remove two retaining nuts on outside handle and remove from door.
