Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear Wheel Bearing & Speed Sensor

    The rear speed sensors and rings on these models are an integral part of the hub and bearing assembly. If speed sensors or rings are
defective, the entire assembly must be replaced as a unit.

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.

3.

Remove brake hose bracket, caliper and rotor.

4.

Disconnect ABS electrical harness, then remove hub and bearing assembly mounting bolts.

5.

Remove hub and bearing assembly.

6.

Reverse procedure top install, torque bearing assembly mounting bolts to 52 ft. lbs.
