Inspect O-ring seals for cuts, burrs, and distortion. Replace if damaged.
DISASSEMBLE (IF O-RINGS ARE DAMAGED)
Using a small pick, remove O-ring seal from inlet and outlet of fuel rail. Discard O-rings.
ASSEMBLE
New O-rings into inlet and outlet of fuel rail.
WARNING: To Reduce the Risk of Fire and Personal Injury:

Before connecting fuel pipe fillings, always apply a few drops of clean engine oil to the male tube ends. This will ensure proper
reconnection and prevent a possible fuel leak. (During normal operation, the O-rings located in the female connector will swell and may
prevent proper reconnection if not lubricated.)

Do Not attempt to repair sections of nylon fuel lines. If damaged, replace.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Quick-connect fittings:
A. Apply a few drops of clean engine oil to the male tube ends.
B. Push connectors together to cause the retaining tabs/fingers to snap into place.
C. Once installed, pull on both ends of each connection to make sure they are secure.
D. Repeat for other fitting.
2. Fuel feed and return pipes to fuel rail.
3. Fuel pipe retainer and attaching screw.
Tighten
Fuel pipe retainer screw to 3.0 Nm (27 lb. in.).
4. New O-ring seals on engine fuel feed and return pipes.
5. Fuel feed and return hoses to engine fuel pipes.
Tighten
Fuel pipe nuts to 30.0 Nm (22 lb. ft.).
INSPECT
A. Temporarily connect negative battery cable.
B. Turn ignition switch to the "ON" position for two seconds, then turn to the "OFF" position for ten seconds. Again turn the "ON" position, and
check for fuel leaks.
C. Disconnect negative battery cable.
6. Upper manifold assembly.
7. Tighten fuel filler cap.
8. Negative battery cable.
