Grand Prix V6-3.1L VIN J (2000)
1. Remove the outside mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (See: Mirrors/Service and Repair/Power Mirror Replacement) .
2. Pull down and reposition the front door window weatherstrip in order to gain access to the screws.
3. Loosen the front door frame applique screws. Refer to Front Door Frame Applique Replacement () .
4. Remove the screws from the front door window channel retainer.
5. Remove the front door window channel retainer from the front door.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the front door window weatherstrip retainer to the front door.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the window channel retainer screws.
Tighten the door window channel retainer screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
3. Tighten the front door frame applique screws. Refer to Front Door Frame Applique Replacement () .
4. Reposition the front door window weatherstrip.
5. Install the outside mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (See: Mirrors/Service and Repair/Power Mirror Replacement) .
