Grand Prix V6-3.1L VIN J (2000)
1. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (See: Mirrors/Service and Repair/Power Mirror Replacement) .
2. Remove the front door outer belt sealing strip machine screw (1) in the rear position.
3. Remove the front door outer belt sealing strip self-tapping screw (3) in the front position.
4. Remove the front door outer belt sealing strip (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Press the front door outer belt sealing strip (2) into place.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Important: Align the strip properly to the door inner panel for screw installation.
2. Install the front door outer belt sealing strip self-tapping screw (3) in the front position.
Tighten the outer belt sealing strip self-tapping screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
3. Install the front door outer belt sealing strip machine screw (1) in the rear position.
Tighten the outer belt sealing strip machine screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
4. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (See: Mirrors/Service and Repair/Power Mirror Replacement) .
