Grand Prix V6-3.1L VIN J (2000)
3. Install the pads (9 and 10) to the caliper bracket (12).
Notice: Use care to avoid damaging pin boot when rotating caliper.
4. Swing the caliper (3) upward in position around the pads.
5. Lubricate the bolt (2) and the bolt boot. Use silicone grease.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the upper caliper bolt (2).

Tighten the caliper bolt to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).
7. Remove the wheel nuts securing the rotor (4) to the hub and bearing.
8. Install the tires and the wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
Align the previous marks on the wheel, hub and bearing.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Fill the master cylinder to the proper level with clean brake fluid. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling.
11. Apply approximately 778 N (175 lb.) of force three times to the brake pedal in order to seat the pads against the rotor.
12. Burnish the pads and the rotors. Refer to Burnishing Pads and Rotors.
