Power Window Lockout Switch: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: When removing a power window switch, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting
out the switch it a flat-bladed tool, awl or metal object is used to remove the power window switch from the wiring harness.
1. Apply protective coating/tape at the rear of the rear door power window switch (right and/or left door).
2. Remove the rear door power window switch (1) from the rear door trim panel using a small flat-bladed tool, inserted at the rear of the rear door
power window switch.
Press forward in order to release the rear door power window switch retainer.
3. With the rear retainer released, pull the switch to the rear and lift up to remove the mounting plate and switch.
4. Remove the rear door power window switch from the mounting plate.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear door power window switch.
6. Remove the rear door power window switch from the mounting plate.
