Sunroof / Moonroof Module: Service and Repair

SUNROOF MODULE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. IMPORTANT:  A new sunroof module assembly will not have the sunroof window or sunshade as components of the new service part.

The old sunroof window and sunshade will need to be installed to the new sunroof module assembly.

2. Remove the sunroof window. 

3. Remove the sunshade panel. 
4. Remove the headliner. 
5. Remove the rear window trim panel as necessary to access the sunroof harness electrical connector. 
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof module.

7. Disconnect the front and rear drain hoses from the sunroof module.

8. Have an assistant support the sunroof module.
9. Remove the bolts from the sunroof module.

10. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle with an assistant.
