Wiper Arm: Testing and Inspection
WIPER ARM TIP PRESSURE CHECK
WIPER ARM PRESSURE CHECK
1. Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms.
2. Attach a scale to the end of the wiper arm and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm to the following dimensions:

Driver side wiper arm 37.3 mm (1.5 in) off of the windshield.

Passenger side wiper arm 10.5 mm (0.4 in) off of the windshield.
3. Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification.
8-10 N (29-36 ozf)
4. Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms.
