Grand Prix V6-3.8L SC VIN 1 (1997)
10. Install Crankshaft Balancer Puller.
11. Remove the crankshaft balancer.
12. Remove Crankshaft Balancer Puller.
INSTALLATION
1. Coat the front cover seal contact area on the crankshaft balancer, and the seal surface with engine oil.
2. Install the crankshaft balancer.
3. Install the crankshaft balancer retaining bolt with an assistant in order to keep the flywheel from turning. Use Flex Plate Holding Tool. Tighten the
bolt to 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.) + 76°.
4. Remove Flex Plate Holding Tool.
5. Install the flex plate cover. See Transmission and Drivetrain.
6. Install the right inner fender splash shield. See Body and Frame.
7. Install the right front tire and wheel.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Install the drive belt.
10. Install the supercharger drive belt.
11. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable.
