Squealing and/or Grinding (Scraping) Noise from Front Brakes (Bend ABS Speed Sensor Bracket Away from Rotor)

This bulletin is being revised to add additional models affected. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 73-50-11 (Section 5 - Brakes)
Condition
Some owners may comment on a squealing and/or grinding (scraping) noise coming from the front brakes.
Cause
This noise may be caused by the ABS front speed sensor connector MOUNT BRACKET being bent and rubbing on the rotor.
Correction
To correct this condition, just bend the bracket away from the rotor until there is a 3 mm (1/8 inch) gap between the rotor and the bracket. Check the
brackets on both sides of the vehicle.
Important:

DO NOT bend the bracket any more than 5 mm (.200 inch) from the rotor as this could cause the sensor wire to touch the front wheel drive shaft.

DO NOT replace pads and/or service rotors.
