Grand Prix V6-3.8L VIN 2 (2004)
1. Apply the park brake.
2. Remove the floor console bolts from the sides of the console. Adjust the front seats as required.
3. Shift the transaxle to 2.
4. Remove the screw from the shift handle. Remove the shift handle.
5. Pull the floor console rearward slightly. Disconnect the electrical connector at the front of the floor console.
6. Remove the floor console.
7. Remove the wiring harness.
8. Remove the HUD switch, if equipped. Refer to Head Up Display Switch Replacement See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning

9. Remove the traction control switch. Refer to Traction Control Switch Replacement.
10. Remove the accessory power receptacles. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console and to Accessory Power Receptacle

11. Remove the armrest and the hinge. Refer to Console Armrest Replacement - Front Floor (See: Console Armrest Replacement - Front Floor) .
Installation Procedure
1. Install the armrest and the hinge. Refer to Console Armrest Replacement - Front Floor (See: Console Armrest Replacement - Front Floor) .
2. Install the accessory power receptacles. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console and to Accessory Power Receptacle
Replacement - Floor Console.
3. Install the traction control switch. Refer to Traction Control Switch Replacement.
4. Install the HUD switch, if equipped. Refer to Head Up Display Switch Replacement See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning
Indicators/Heads Up Display Unit/Service and Repair
5. Install the wiring harness.
6. Position the floor console to the vehicle.
7. Connect the electrical connector at the front of the floor console. Slide the floor console toward the front of the car.
8. Install the shift handle. Install the shift handle screw.
9. Shift the transaxle to P.
