Power Mirror Switch: Removal and Replacement

Mirror, Window, and Door Lock Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important:  When removing a power window switch, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of
shorting out the power window switch when using a metal tool to remove the power window switch from the wiring harness.

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door  (See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door

Panel/Service and Repair) .

2. Disengage the electrical connectors from the following switches:

Rear compartment lid switch (1)

*

The power window switch (2)

*

The door lock switch (3)

*

The power mirror switch(4) 

3. Remove the electrical harness from the trim panel.

4. Using a small, flat-bladed tool, remove the switches from the mounting bezel.
