Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement

Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner

Removal Procedure

1. Lower the window to the full down position.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door  See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door

3. Lift the rear door window inner belt sealing strip (3) off the pinch-weld flange.
4. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip from the door.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the window belt inner sealing strip to the door flange (3).
2. Engage each end of the window belt inner sealing strip by pressing firmly onto the front and the rear ends of the pinch-weld flange.

Important:  
*

Ensure the front end of the window inner belt sealing strip is inserted into the gap formed by the weatherstrip and the door inner
panel.

*

Ensure the rear end of the window inner belt sealing strip is flush to the rear leg of the weatherstrip.

*

Ensure the rear end of the window inner belt sealing strip does not interfere with the path of the window.

3. Use hand pressure in order to firmly seat the rear door window inner belt sealing strip (3) on the pinch-weld flange.
4. Inspect the door for proper operation.
5. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door  See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door
