Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
2. Use a plastic trim tool to remove the ignition switch bezel.
3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory See: Body and
Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory.
4. Remove the left I/P insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

5. Remove the opening filler panel from the I/P steering column. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior

6. Remove the I/P driver knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement - Left (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /
Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Knee Bolster Replacement - Left) .
7. Remove the ignition switch bolts.
