THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CHANGE THE MODELS AFFECTED, TEXT AND FIGURES 3 AND 9. PLEASE DISCARD
BULLETIN 377132.
Several revisions were implemented into all HYDRA-MATIC 4T60-E (RPO M13) transaxies at the start of the 1993 model year. These revisions consist
of modifications to the following components:
^ Control Valve Body, Spacer Plate and Gaskets
^ Channel Plate
^ Fourth Clutch Plates and Apply Piston
1991-92 and 1993-94 model components listed above should NOT be mixed on a transaxle during service. For example, using a 1991-92 Valve Body
Gasket on a 1993-94 4T60-E transaxle (or vice versa) will cause the transaxle to have soft shifts, slipping and will eventually burn clutches within a short
period of time or mileage.
These changes were done as a "package" and updates to 1991-92 model transaxies should not be performed unless all of the listed components are
replaced. Failure to comply will result in premature transaxle failures.
