Pontiac Workshop Service and Repair Manuals

1. Clean the gasket sealing surfaces.
2. Install the throttle body to upper intake manifold.
3. Install the heater hoses to upper intake manifold.
4. Install the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
5. Install the new upper intake manifold gaskets.
6. Install the upper intake manifold.
7. Guide upper intake manifold heater hoses onto heater inlet pipe.
8. Install the upper intake manifold bolts and studs.

Tighten
Bolts and studs to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.).

9. Install the heater inlet pipe hose clamps at heater inlet pipe.

10. Install the alternator braces.
11. Install the MAP sensor and bracket.
12. Install the ignition coil assembly front bolts.
13. Tighten the ignition coil assembly rear nuts.
14. Install the EGR bolts.
15. Install the vacuum lines as noted during disassembly.
16. Install the electrical connectors at IAC valve, MAF and TP sensors.
17. Install the accelerator control cable bracket.
18. Install the fuel pipe clip at accelerator control cable bracket.
19. Install the accelerator and cruise control cables at throttle body and accelerator control bracket.
20. Adjust the accelerator control cable.
21. Adjust the cruise control cable. Refer to Cruise Control.

22. Install the air inlet duct.

23. Refill coolant. Refer to Cooling and Radiator.
