Removal Procedure
1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32 GE 47716 Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, L32
Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 GE 47716 Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4 Static Fill) in Cooling System.
3. Release and reposition the heater inlet and outlet hose clamps using the J 38185.
Important: Cap or plug the cooling components to prevent system contamination.
4. Remove the heater hoses from heater pipes.
Notice: Do not apply excessive force on the heater core pipes during hose removal. Applying excessive force on the heater core pipes may
damage the heater core pipes.
5. Remove the heater pipe assembly retaining bolts from the rear the of engine.
