7. Remove the oil filter adapter (438).

Installation Procedure

Important: Prior to installing a NEW oil filter, ensure that the old oil filter gasket has been removed from the engine block. If not, remove the
old gasket. 

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install a NEW oil filter adapter (438).

Tighten the adapter to 55 N.m (40 lb ft).
