GTO V8-6.0L VIN U (2005)
1. Remove the front bumper fascia (2) from the vehicle. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (See: Bumper/Front Bumper/Front Bumper
Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair/Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) in Bumpers.
2. Remove the two speed nuts (3) attaching the emblem (1) to the front bumper fascia (2).
3. When replacing or repairing an emblem/nameplate do the following:
1. Use tape to protect the mounting surface during removal.
2. Use tape for alignment marks for installation of the emblem/nameplate.
4. To remove an emblem/nameplate, heat the emblem/nameplate using J 25070 .
Hold the J 25070 approximately 152 mm (6 in) from the surface.
5. Apply heat using a circular motion for about 30 seconds.
Notice: Refer to Exterior Trim Emblem Removal Notice in Cautions and Notices.
6. Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to lift or remove the emblem/nameplate from the panel surface.
