Important:  The upper pad is glued to the cushion pad along each edge. Use caution when removing the pad not to tear the side pads or
the upper cushion.

12. If required, peel back the upper cushion pad (1) to expose the passenger presence detector switch (2).

Important:  The passenger presence detector wiring harness is glued to the seat cushion pad. Use caution when removing the harness not
to damage the harness.

13. Carefully lift off the passenger presence detector switch and pull the wiring harness through the underside of the cushion pad.

Installation Procedure

1. Carefully pull the wiring harness through the underside of the cushion pad. 
2. Place the passenger presence detector switch in its depression in the seat cushion pad.
3. Apply new adhesive to the upper cushion.

4. Apply either of the outer hook and loop strips (1) and the one or two cross hook and loop strips (2) on the seat cushion cover (3) with the seat

cushion pad (4).

5. Press the folded edge of the seat cushion cover firmly into the corresponding groove in the seat cushion pad to engage the hook and loop strip.
