GTO V8-6.0L VIN U (2005)
1. Using a small paint brush, apply zinc-chromate primer to the spoiler stud inner and outer holes.
2. Clean the compartment lid attachment surface using isopropyl alcohol and allow to flash OFF for 30 seconds.
3. Install the high mount stop lamp harness (5) through the spoiler cavity and install the high mount stop lamp assembly (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
4. Install the screws (2) that attach the high mount stop lamp assembly (3) to the rear lid spoiler (4).
Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
5. Install the screw caps (1) over the screws (2).
6. Install the wiring harness (5) to the right side of the rear compartment lid (1).
7. Position the rear compartment lid spoiler (2) to the rear compartment lid (1).
8. From the underside of the rear compartment lid (1), install the 4 washers (3) and nuts (4).
Tighten the nuts to 3 N.m (26 lb in).
