Fuel Injector Replacement
FUEL INJECTOR REPLACEMENT

J 37088-A Tool Set, Fuel Line Quick Connect Separator
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the fuel rail assembly.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) for the fuel injector (1).
3. Remove the retaining clip (4) for the fuel injector (1).
4. Remove the fuel injector (1) from the fuel rail (7).
NOTE: Use care in removing the fuel injectors in order to prevent damage to the fuel injector electrical connector pins or the fuel injector nozzles.
Do not immerse the fuel injector in any type of cleaner. The fuel injector is an electrical component and may be damaged by this cleaning method.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: If the fuel injectors are being removed for the replacement of the fuel rail, it is not necessary to replace the O-rings on the fuel
injector. Replace the O-rings only if they are damage.
