Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment

FUEL HOSE/PIPES REPLACEMENT - ENGINE COMPARTMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.

NOTE:  Clean all of the following areas before performing any disconnections in order to avoid possible contamination in the system:
-

The fuel pipe connections

-

The hose connections

-

The areas surrounding the connections

2. Loosen the fuel filler cap to relieve any vapor pressure.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4. Disconnect the engine compartment fuel feed pipe (1) at the fuel rail.
5. Cap the fuel pipe to prevent possible fuel system contamination.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the engine compartment fuel feed pipe (1) at the fuel rail.
2. Install the fuel filler cap.
3. Inspect for leaks.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.

1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
2. Turn OFF the ignition for 2 seconds.
3. Turn ON the ignition.
