1. Position the shift control lever assembly (1) in the vehicle.

2. Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the shift control lever shaft retaining bolts (3).
Tighten the shift control bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

3. Carefully snap the shift control lever boot into place.
4. Install the console trim panel on the console.
