Some Pontiac dealer personnel have expressed concern regarding the appearance of marks on the surface of replacement Pontiac RPO B88 body side
moldings.
These marks are created by a chemical reaction that occurs when the plastic shipping sleeve contacts the molding's surface.
To remove the marks, simply heat the surface of the molding with a heat gun to approximately 29 degrees Centigrade (85 degrees Fahrenheit) until
marks disappear.
