Front Fender Liner: Service and Repair

Fender Liner Replacement

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer toLifting and Jacking the Vehicle   in General Information.
2. Remove the front tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation   in Tires and Wheels.

3. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine  (See: Splash Guard/Service and Repair/Splash Shield

Replacement - Engine) .

4. Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Wheelhouse  (See: Splash Guard/Service and Repair/Splash Shield

Replacement - Wheelhouse) (for Oldsmobile only).

5. Remove the fender wheel opening molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Front Wheel Opening  () in Exterior Trim (for Pontiac only).

6. Remove the front fender liner bolts.
7. Remove the front fender liner from the inner fender and the front bumper fascia.

Installation Procedure

1. Align the front fender liner to the inside of the fender.
