Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Important: This is a prevailing torque type fastener. This fastener may be reused ONLY if the following conditions are true:The fastener and its
counterpart are clean and free from rust.

The fastener develops 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.) of torque against its counterpart prior to the fastener seating.
If the fastener does not meet these criteria, REPLACE the fastener.
5. Install the steering wheel nut.
Tighten the nut to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
6. Connect the horn switch lead to the steering hub.
7. Connect the steering wheel controls electrical connector.
8. Install the inflator module.
9. Enable the SIR system.
10. Verify that the steering wheel controls operate properly.
11. Verify that the horn operates properly.
