The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
3. This step tests the ignition 1 voltage circuit for proper voltage.
4. This step tests the ground circuit for an open.
5. This step tests the axle actuator control circuit duty cycle.
6. This step tests the axle actuator control circuit for an open or short.

Diagnosis By Symptom - Rear Drive Axle - Locking/Limited Slip

Symptoms - Locking/Limited Slip Rear Axle

Important:  Review the Description and Operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. 

Visual/Physical Inspection

Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Rear Axle Control System.

Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Inspect the rear axle for the proper fluid level.

Intermittent

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions.
